>woman who can reason and who I don't have to treat like a drooling retard
I've only recently met people like this and my god it's such a game changer, It's like I can talk and not worry about if they understand the words I'm saying. When talking to some of my older friends I just gave up on the idea of them remembering anything I say the next day.
I wonder where I can find a woman like that, though. Seems virtually impossible, the problem is I'm not happy fucking around with any girl who is not on this level, so now I've been single for 5 years.

Not sure if this is even the right board for this, but it seems the most appropriate.

How is insurance not a scam? Why is it even legal? It seems like it's just an excuse for the guy who runs the insurance company to get paid to do nothing. The way I see it, I pay the insurance company money every year and if something bad happens to me, I might get some of it back, but not until after I pay a deductible, and the company fights me every step of the way, and then they write it off as a loss. Wouldn't I be better off just putting my money in a bank to save for unexpected expenses at that point, which is something I already do because I am a stupidly thrifty and I am loathe to spend money on things I don't need, and prefer to keep my money in a bank where I won't accidentally spend any of it? I also see the "insurance is gambling" analogy, because you are essentially better with the insurance company and you win the bet if something bad happens to you. I hate the idea of gambling at all (because the House always wins) and even if I did gamble, I would never want to bet that something bad happens to me.

Seriously, can someone please explain how insurance, as a concept, isn't a scam?

Is this a bull trap though?? Perhaps its doing that thing where it goes higher than the top to fool people to buy more, then it takes a massive shit on itself...
