No. Slavery evolved to remain viable. Now everyone is a slave. You can't keep people in slave quarters anymore, so you let them rent their own tiny box and decorate it how they want. You can't force people to work with no pay, so you pay them just enough to stop them from revolting. Slavery was the original mass immigration, you think "we need to help African refugees" would have passed in the 1800s? (((They))) needed a way to import their footsoldiers, so they convinced the Americans slavery was a good idea, with the intention of eventually pushing freedom and rights knowing they wouldn't be sent back. I'm not arguing in favor of reparations, I want to send them all back, I'm just saying the idea that people today are free is madness.
