Do you really care about an FPGA N64? Every console newer than it is impractical to play on FPGAs and everything older than it will work fine on the Mister. Just buy an N64 and a flashcart. Or two if you aren't a poorfag.

It is 80% roguelite-dungeon crawling with your monsters so if you like that try it. The other stuff is nice and breaks up the action well but is secondary.
