I just have to interject for a second, because I think you should take the bigger picture in consideration.
Of course I can perfectly imagine the situation might have been bothersome to you, that girl and others on the bus.
However, I think we should look at the root cause of the issue.
You mention it was the bus home from school, so it makes perfect sense for boys to be energetic.
The current educational system in Western countries is quite problematic for boys.
Boys get lower grades on average for both math and reading, boys get more often suspended and they are more often absent.
Now I'm not trying to justify or condone their behaviour but perhaps you could be a bit more forgiving.
It's probably also the reason why there are so many girls in here, all the boys are outside playing.
