I'm no expert when it comes to gold IRAs, but isn't it a mistake to treat the price of this as static? I mean, the price of gold is always appreciating because fiat is always being debased, so eventually that gap closes. You're not supposed to make a profit from gold, you're just preserving your purchasing power by buying it. The only cost is someone storing for you. The only way you would make a profit is due to its demand increasing with more competing buyers, which is no different than any other stock on the market.
