You *do* know inflation is at a yearly low, right, champ? And major firms like Goldman have recession odds under 20%? Oh, and job growth is still strong as hell, consumers are spending like drunken bulls, and basically it's just perma-bear doomers and hysterical Youtubers still screeching about the "imminent" recession?

Yeah.

We also have a major re-election next year, which means zero chance they let the economy die. These are not your Boomer Bush years. No administration that's even halfway competent in 2024 would consider letting nature take its course for one second when they can simply tell the Fed to pump the economy green all the way to Jupiter.

this. but you have to be disciplined. do all your spending with the cards without overspending; it will feel like "free money". other income should be turned into savings/investments. otherwise you'll end up wasting the gains.

So /biz/ its been a long time, i usually spend my days in /pol/ but i have a question they couldnt handle and would probably sage the fuck outta me. Im curious what are good majors to look for in the near future? Im currently a 19 year old sophomore going for mechanical engineering but i am having second thoughts. My interests and talents are flexible but my 1 condition is i need to be making over $100k within 5 years. Is this possible or are my expectations unreasonable?
