The industrial uses are why it isn’t appealing to me. There is less demand in all those scenarios where you’d want to buy gold.

The only reason I’m not totally bearish is because of that price manipulation thing with that JPM trader, and really who knows what the endgame was there. Just because he was breaking the law to do it doesn’t mean it actually would have been profitable.

Those requirements were decided by policymakers with the input of industry... are they better than nothing? Probably. Do they warrant the price difference? Who knows. How long do you plan on living anyhow?
