I make 55k after taxes (79k salary) and that goes to 40k after a years rent, how the FUCK do average people invest? I need to make it from crypto or start a business to have a chance to even consider investing in index funds.

I need to... I had been papertrading for months, it was going well but I lost a bit of money when FTX made everything plunge and I stupidly opened a long. Now I have been papertrading again and wish to get in again come December.
There is no other option for me. It's over. Do you think the exchanges will rug or is the storm over?
