For every 4750 dollars accounted for in the US financial system there is 1 ounce of silver accounted for in the us financial system - from traders to government vaults to private safes. Without market manipulation and accounting for inflation, the price of silver should unironically be almost $5,000 per troy ounce.

Spot price is set by COMES and COMEX is not a physical market - it's derivatives. So Spot price is the price of derivatives, or paper silver - not the price of physical bullion in your hand.

Spot price is based on SLV, not physical silver, and set by COMEX - which is a derivatives market and not a physical market.

COMEX spot price is derivatives, not physical. If we're going to use "Spot price" to determine the value of physical, COMEX has no business setting it.
