how can a person start a business while being completely broke? I'm not talking about a lemonade stand but an actual business in a new, booming market. I have an idea for a way to be much more efficient with an aspect in that market, but it's a technique and not something that can be patented, so I can't simply get a patent and sell the idea. I even presented the idea to a person who is experienced in that field and they were taken back by what a good idea it is.

I would need roughly $100,000 to create this operation, but I have nothing but debt. Am I totally fucked? It's pretty awful to have a great idea that you can't do anything with because you're broke, but at the same time I think it's fair that I don't get handed 100 grand to play around with an idea which could make me really wealthy - I don't think anybody ever gets that sort of opportunity.
