Anybody into daily fantasy sports?

I'm wondering specifically if there's anyone here who comes from a programming, math, or online poker background.

What is your ROI like? What's the basic idea of your strategy?

Hi /biz/. I posted here a couple days ago but my thread 404'd before I could carry the conversation further.


I am very interested in investing about $5000-$10,000 into water desalination stocks. Considering that California and Texas to name a couple have water shortages I think water desalination is a field with lots of potential.

Upon doing some research, I discovered that there is something called the Carlsbad Desalination Project which is undergoing construction in California. It will be the largest WD plant in the western hemisphere and is due to be completed in 2016.

A company called Poseidon Resources in partnership with another company called Israel Chemicals are responsible for building it.

How do I get in on this? Poseidon Resources is a privately held company and not listed as far as I know. Israel Chemicals however is listed and trades under ICL.

So should I buy stock in Israel Chemicals?

I don't have much of an understanding of economics past the high school level. I'd like to know if the free market system is really all its cracked up to be.
