Today sucked. "I'll mow the yard today since its nice" That was the goal. Big fat shat on that idea. The mower leaked oil, gas, maybe both as I was pushing it. Damn lucky it didn't explode due to stuff pooling on the deck and you know that hot ass muffler right there and all. Sad part about the affair was the mower is only maybe 5 years old. So ordered a new one. Fucking hell the new one is a "downgrade". Its as cheap as I could get. Still $211.00. That's what I paid for my old one which is better 5 years ago.

Another relaxing day. Didn't overspend at the KR. They've been shuffling things round the store. In an attempt to make it like WMT?, I dunno. Anyway after a bit of searching I finally found all I needed. Swapped SWPPX for SCHB. My 401k is mostly S&P only as it is. Why reinvent the wheel?. But on the flip side I wanted some growth in addition to just divvy in my brokerage. SCHB fit the bill. Cheap in both share price and expense rate but the return rate matches the yearly S&P (10%) over time even though its a broad market fund.

Got a MCD's double cheeseburger meal earlier today. They seem to be smaller now. I dunno maybe I was just imagining it. First time I've got one in maybe 6 months. Got a package of those little debbie cupcakes. You know the ones with the squiggle line of white frosting down the middle. Those seem to be smaller now to. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw it. I quit buying bags of chips. The cost plus the fact half the damn bag is air now it's like WTF is this shat.

Another day. Of doing "nothing". Bagged more KO and enjoyed the view of seeing uh my 20 something female co-workers strutting round in tight blue jean pants.

Another day. Bad storms were rolling in this morning. So bad they closed the office early. So I got home round 1 this afternoon. Supposedly more bad storms is rolling this way but it don't look it now. Sun's out. Swapped SWPPX for SCHD. My 401k acts as the "growth engine" anyway. The rub; no auto invest function is possible with SCHD. So I can't automate it. Dunno may just pile money into the brokerage then dump it in during final days of December and then keep on doing this year after year. One large annual lump.

Another day. Spent most of it outside. Working sadly. Yard mowing time. I think my push mower is fucked. All I fucking did was change the oil and spark plug. (new ones you tip it over on its side to drain the oil) Now uh oil/gas (maybe both?) is leaking out round the bottom and pooling on the mower deck. Also gas is leaking out the air filter bottom (side mount). Fucking shat. It's only 4 years old. I got the yard mowed. Leaks and all. Uh I tossed the old oil in my garbage bin. Sealed it up good though.

Another day. I've freely committed tax fraud. Brokerage sent me an amended 1099. I've already filed my taxes and got all that done with. I compared the different 1099s. The only thing that was changed was the dollar amounts of two securities I traded. The math was the same just they'd swapped the totals. Irony; they marked this one security as being changed but in reality nope it wasn't. So I'm not going to redo my taxes. The dollar amounts are still the same. So it's not like I screwed anyone out of anything. Took on a gamble play with BOC. Basically they're a young Berkshire Hathaway clone kinda. However their stock hasn't had time to hit the triple digits yet. Which hey if in 30 years it does hit triple digits well I'll be kicking myself for not bagging more but oh well.

Another day. In a reversal the state legislature has decided to bump up my 2024 and 2025 pay hike a bit. Formerly; 2.6% in both years. Now; 3.0% in both years. Which combined will punt my salary finally into the next bracket instead of the damn x7,000 something it is now. Still sucks. If they'd followed the gov's plan I'd be getting a 13% in 2024.

Another day. I do more actual work at home than I do at my actual job. How sad is that.. Did some selling, bagging, and in general concentrated my brokerage holdings to a select few. Divvy income went up after I was all done so I can't complain any.

Another day. Of green I guess? I dunno actually. To be honest ever since I flipped on the auto invest option on my SWPPX I uh just don't give much of a fuck anymore of the daily movements. I mean shat my divvy stocks are well stuffed so there will be a nice fat payout waiting for me when the time comes to collect. If ever. Uh its not like I'll be needing it anyway.

Yes making money and having a good time is all fine but take care of your health to. You don't want to be 60 and dragging some ox canister around do you or god forbid end up like some of those fat fucks rolling round in the electric scooter carts at the KR. Or see your med cabinet crammed with pills. Don't get me wrong; having a hot nurse is one thing but you don't need to get one that badly by tanking your health do you? (Sides; the happy ending would most likely cause your heart to give out anyway)

Relaxing sunday. Woke up and made pancakes. Not a sound a happening in the house aside from the griddle and the fridge. It's the little things you appreciate when life decides to turn nasty and fuck up your shat. Sides why blow money going out to eat when uh I can whip up some good food on the cheap. (maybe not the healthiest but hey even to much rabbit food is bad for you)

Another relaxing day. Ho hum, Apple's getting sued by the govt, Trump's assets are getting seized by the state govt, rest of the world's gone to shat it seems. Typical week. Meanwhile I just watch the divvy compound, the 401k grow, my pension grow fatter all while I just roll on and try to enjoy life while I'm able. Kek, the city leaders put out a snazzy video and propaganda website; "We'll pay you $1000 to move here" However you gotta meet certain criteria first. It also overlooks the uh "bad" parts. Video makes it look like this city is heaven itself. What a joke. For one thing there's no virgins.

Another day done. Watched the first 2 episodes of the new XMEN 97 animated series. First thoughts on it was they really hit the mark. The opening and all makes it seem like its a direct no gap continuation of the first series that aired back in the early to mid 90s. The animations are a dead bang match to how it was back then to. (aka Rouge looks hot as fuck just like she did back then). DIS/Marvel did it good.

Glad the FED is leaving rates as they are for a bit longer. Keep that high savings yield pumped. Before the sky high pumping my emergency fund was punting out a bit over 2%, which in context, uh my regular hub bank's accounts still punt out only a puny 0.10% so yeah..even in low rate times my emergency fund was stomping all over the regular account interest.

Another day. Of meetings. Annual shareholder type meetings. Already did my bit 3 times so far. DIS,KO,and BAC. The DIS one was fun. Contested. See I don't just you know collect the divvy and do nothing. I actually cast my vote and such when the time comes.

Another day. Of fucked up weather. Went from nice short sleeves type to uh well snow flurries were flying today. Hiked my 401k contribution yet again. Since I know how much my salary will be jacked now I went on and did it. Sides the old amount was an odd ball number, this makes it nice and even every month. Most likely this will be the last 401k hike I do. Unless my salary just goes bat shat insanely spiked up over the next uh decade there's no point to hike it any more. I don't see that happening. The legislature is a finicky bunch of fucks. Went a decade without any hikes from them, then wham they started tossing out money like crack, now it's starting to taper down again. (leaving out the point that uh its law employees are to get a 5% auto hike every year if money is in the coffer to do it with; which uh 3.7 billion slush fund so yeah that's well funded)

Another day. Relaxing. Saving some money to. Did an inspection of my shower. Checking the caulking/grout. Hey a bit of time and/or a cheap tube of replacement caulk today sure as hell beats seeing mold and rot/falling tile in 10 years. (which leads to a pricey bit of work)

Another day. Decided to do as my Wife did; sell some ye old stuff to the local pawn shop.Shat I wasn't doing anything with or due to tech advances couldn't do anything with even if I wanted to. (without blowing more money to get some old pos to make it work).

Another day. I did "nothing". Wife on the other hand decided to sell some of her well guess it'd be considered "vintage" now childhood electronics at the local pawn shop. Hey whatever. Taking up space in the storage room anyway. Aside; I've got a NES complete with games, controllers and a honest to god zapper gun packed away. Nobody's selling that baby. Least while I'm alive anyway. Also got a shat load of baseball cards.

Welp due to those fucks in the legislature slashing my pending pay hike(s) I've been forced to tweak my monthly spending plan. Upshot;everything's getting covered. The bad; emergency fund (aka the account that don't "exist") the amount I divert into it got capped at its current amount. This account don't "exist"; its a black hole. Money goes only one way and that's into it. (I've got a puny plain jane savings account at my hub bank for "shat happens" type deals. The other bad; Said black hole account forks out 4.35% rate so I'd would've liked to take advantage of that while the getting was good. Before those fucks lowers the rates again.

Hmm the Congressional Budget Office is predicting the national debt will hit $48 trillion by 2034. In 2036 I'm retiring. Certain you know uh essential programs will be facing drastic cuts due to money shortfalls in another decade.

Another day. Of doing "nothing". Got bored so took a walking tour of the whole building. Started from the top and worked my way down. Seen some woman at a reception desk on 5 leaning back in her chair asleep. I kept right on walking.

Ho hum so another 2008 style event happens.. Big deal. Know what I did in 2008?. Kept right on working and life was pretty normal. The only thing was I bagged my house during the fallout cheap as hell but other than that life was pretty laid back.
