everyone is capable of pulling himself by the bootstraps champ, do you know how I got my job back in the 70's?
I was 19 year old, I was married with my beautiful white blonde wife, she was pregnant and I needed to get a job. I had no abilities and I had never held a job in my life, but I was not going to let idleness win. So, I decided to look for job offers in the newspaper, it took me 30 minutes! can you believe that? 30 minutes of my time to find 50 job offers that were suited for my knowledge and abilities. So after a long grueling work of calling 2 different car repairshop companies, I was called for an interview. They appointed me in 1 hour, I was there 30 minutes earlier, I walked straight up through the repairshp, greeting everyone in my way (they looked at me weirdly, they have never seen such determination in someone's eyes). Inside, I found a guy who looked older and had a major role in the company. I walked up to him, he looked at me. I looked him back directly at his eyes, I gave him a firm handshake, and asked to see his boss. His answer? You wouldn't believe it. He was the boss! I told him I was the guy who called before, and that I was the one he was looking for, I was his man, the one he needed, "I'm your man, let's do it" I said. I was hired on the spot for minimum wage. The first 2 months were extremely hard for me and my wife. That wage only allowed us to buy a 3 bedroom house with a decent backyard, 2 cars, some money for vacations, and to pay for our coming son's private school. It was really hard, but we managed to make it in the end. After decades of work I became the owner of the place, I sold it and now I'm happily living in retirement. I have several properties to my name and a lot of cash saved just in case. My story is proof that anyone can make it with a little effort.
