The reason normals are able to work and enjoy it is because they love the interaction with coworkers and talking shit about the ones they don't like and they have close friends and a loving gf/wife to go home to.

But when you have none of that working literally makes you want to die. Being a NEET has its shitty moments but working is torment.

I hate the feeling of giving up a large portion of my life just to accumulate a small living wage. It's why most of my adult life has been spent as a pathetic NEET.

There have been severe drawbacks but at least I can say I spent my time on my own terms.
