I somewhat disagree. If RC was willing to put himself in the way of the shorts by aggressively taking over another company - even buying the highest strike calls available, why would he not do the same with GME? Buying $150M worth of GameStop would sent the stock soaring, especially when buying in low volume days on the open market (which RC has been doing, in the two latest 13Ds filed by RC many share buys can be seen, even some odd lots of less than a 100 shares). Clearly the BBBY play exposed RC to litigation (BBBY P&D court case) so maybe he is not allowed to make such a move now by federal entities. This could tie in with the conspiracy that the SEC/DTCC is forcing GameStop to report the same number of 25% / 75.4 million shares being DRSed.

I am excited however, with the recent changes RC. Per the 10-Q, the board approved a new investment policy and RC now has full authority to use both his own money and the cash of GameStop to manage and purchase a portfolio of securities or of "non-conforming investments". This might be a genius move, you cannot use another stock in a swap against GME if GameStop itself can buy the stock and profit massively from the pump. If a billion cash is not enough or it is deemed too risky for the company to invest such a big part of their cash reserves, RC can provide his personal capital to trade in sync with the company.
