I agree with you. Thankfully I live close enough to some forests and seashores, and when I go for a walk I can take a route that will have almost no people and buildings, just the necessary infrastructure like roads. I would probably go insane without such opportunity. The Japanese call it forest baths btw, and list a lot of health benefits, even instant stress relief.

What do you think of ecopolises? I think it's a step in the right direction, also corresponds with the metamodern narrative developing in the global culture. In fact, I think this ecofuturism would fit quite well with something like Olafur Eliasson's works applied to architecture. But I think we won't really need such a big population density anymore, so I guess the cities will look even more comfy and relaxed.
