That's why I've been using this fella for the last year. It works specifically so that you pay the least amount in gas and you can trade across different chains. For example, if I want to be an arb token I can do that with eth on eth so that I don't have to bridge. Also I don't have to use the official arbitrum bridge if I want my eth back on mainnet.

I use this.
Basically if you have a multicoin wallet you can trade lots of stuff without having to bridge your tokens over. You can also sell arb assets and stuff without having to wait 7 days to bridge back to main net, it's instant. Also the fees are pretty low
