>But why would he accumulate that much, he has to know what the policy is?
ask him?
maybe he didn't realize the amount of options, or something?
he wasn't breaking a law, he was just slightly in violation of company policy. so maybe he was waiting for the finance department to catch him and make him sell. hehe :^)
I play the same kind of pranks with all the corporate goons for the companies that I'm c-level or board member of. Break as many rules as possible without doing anything illegal and see if they ever catch me.

I'm watching the livestreams rn.
I just posted this on another board, but to quote myself:

~
The point of these HK protests isn't really about how HK is governed. There are two main goals:
1. Test out anti-protestor tactics and technology. This includes real-life training situations for police. They are also testing all kinds of new surveillance (video face recognition) and internet tracking technologies (figure out what tools the HK protestors use to communicate and evade surveillance, so that China has countermeasures ready.
2. Lower mainland/international resistance to Beijing by reduced attention. Basically, this HK thing going on becomes a sort of "background news" in the headlines. The celebrities in the west all say "Go HK!" and then nothing happens... so when future revolutionary actions occur that are more threatening to Beijing, the outside press and politicians are less likely to take it seriously.

Again understand that this whole HK situation is just a dry run for any possible future Chinese revolutionary action. The point is to sharpen the spear of the central state, and to make sure that they have the proper internet tools to prevent or crush and bad action by their citizens.
