He never said anything about leveraging up in the middle of a bear market with a 3x index ETF. At least not in what I've read of his strategy.
It's like you are deliberately misunderstanding to prove a point about how peter lynch is overrated or wrong?
You should mention the fact he made most of his success in chain outlet type companies, malls, etc which arent anywhere near as successful now if you want to point out potential weakness in his advice. Not the fact that investing in TQQQ would be a potentially bad idea atm.
Peter Lynch at his core is a value investor but that also uses growth in his picking strategy. In those conditions with long time horizon, yes macros make less of an impact.
