no one really knew the consequences of solving the Byzantine generals problem with the internet. I dont even think satohsi could predict what full adoption would look like.

Nigger, it's not even Wednesday. What are you, a bobo? We're going to hit 55k on Wednesday, maybe cool off a bit, and then break all-time high shortly after the halvening.

The first halvening, no one knew what the fuck would actually happen. A combination of general confusion, "sell the news" mentality and actual fundamental changes to bitcoin mining. The second halvening, there was more familiarity. There wasn't really a dump, just a parabolic pump. The third halvening, Covid happened in mid March which completely changed everything and put all finances into turmoil, thus there was a dump.

This time there is no uncertainty and there is no black swan event. We will simply move upwards. Far upwards.

all bitcoin ETFs will be approved at the same time by the end of this year. 10x from there easily next year after the halving. bitcoin WILL end up being 5-10% of all retirement accounts. at that point it's $500k+ per coin. it's inevitable.

Bump. Not sure why this isn't getting more attention today given the potential implications of connections like these. It would mean some of these companies are short Bitcoin in real terms and that the WBTC they minted essentially represents that debt. But what would this mean for liquidity in the EVM ecosystem?

I've only been in crypto since 2017 but only just started researching the fundamentals a few months ago. I'm starting to get it but something I can't seem to wrap my head around: why is a bitcoin so valuable? why would anyone want to pay $500k (essentially a house in some areas) for a bitcoin? the whole idea that its scarce, is it really though? There's literally fraud chains like BSV and BCH (lets be honest, your average brainlet wouldn't be able to really tell the difference between a BCH and BTC, or any of the other shitcoins that you can send to another wallet like XLM). I do believe that blockchain technology will eventually be revolutionary to the way we do business but I'm honestly unsure about bitcoin. Is it possible that one day people wake up and realizing they're just holding a bunch of digits on a screen and that it goes to zero? Discuss
