You're probably the only person who has somewhat made it, or will make it if you haven't yet. No one with actual wealth that I know or know of splurges on over the top "luxury" items. It's only the monkeys in suits that do the bidding of actual wealth holders trying to one up one another that do this.

For example: My boss is worth a cool $15mil+ and "treats" himself to Big Macs and Chick-Fil-A once a week. Rich neighbor growing up would buy books. Rich uncle takes his wife out for a nice steak and lobster dinner every few months. The Millionaire Next Door was a formula, not a novel.

Chinese "bluechip" propped up by the government that pays a divvy. In my view, Chinese large/mega cap companies are like paper straws. They'll get the job done but they come with the risk of crumbling on you mid drink. I like Alibaba. Chinese Amazon and then some.
