You tried, but you have to remember that about 80% of people can never get over Nietzsche (even Nietzsche couldn't get over himself) and realize that all the positivism he railed against was itself modern. If people would just stopped worshiping Hegel's descendants we could have a real conversation about what does and doesn't work in the world. Guenon, Carlyle, Girard, all of them present a complete worldview, which is probably why they can't be allowed to be taught.

My favorite part about that book is how he gets done detailing why monarchy (private state ownership) is superior to a democracy that always slides into socialism, but when he discusses his ideal ancap state he can never answer: so what if the unwashed hordes want your clay?

He's so close to stating that monarchy is the traditional and natural order that allows for 99% of the freedom he wants while having the strength to actually maintain its own existence as something that isn't purely economic.
