So I have a friend who works at Apple as one of the engineers and he's told me Apple internally works on a feature that allows you to use your iPhone like a Mac after connecting it to a screen, keyboard and mouse. No desktop apps apparently but more or less same layout as macOS.

I imagine Google is working on the same thing with Android as ARM processors are becoming more and more powerful, nearly reaching desktop level performance.
This implies that the next big step for the smartphone/desktop industry is no more big bulky desktop towers, simply plug in your phone into a dock and have a full fledged desktop PC.

Is there any way I can capitalize on this knowledge and earn money from it?

It's time to accept that unless you have at least $50,000 in cryptos RIGHT NOW, you are never going to make it. You might get enough money to buy a car or a house but you will NEVER retire. And that >$50,000 must be in out of top 5 altcoins. Ethereum or Bitcoin won't go more than 10x from here, 20x if something really major and insane happens like hyperinflation or war.

And no, you're not an exception. Just because you have $10k in this totally super extremely undervalued coin that you are 100% sure will 500x from here and overtake (INSERT_INDUSTRY_NAME) doesn't mean it will do that. And little hint, it won't do that. 99% of coins that are currently out there will be worthless, dead or lower in market cap than they are now in couple years. If you can't accept that, you are in for a very shocking realization in couple years when you'll be forced to file your McDonalds job application.

So if you have at least $50,000 in crypto right now, invest wisely. Don't pick top 5 coins. Anything that has solid fundamentals and a coin that has a reason for existing is a good investment. I'm not here to shill you any coins, you have to decide which ones are good for yourself.

If you have less than $50,000, then it's just time to accept you are not going to make it unless you really pick some undervalued gem, but the chance of that is ridiculously small. Even if you pick a coin that is needed, has a good team, solid fundamentals and big partnerships, doesn't mean it can't fail or competition can't overtake it. Or that it will even manage to break into the market it's attempting to break into.
That doesn't mean you can't make yourself enough money to make your life a lot easier, but you will likely never retire, unless you want to live an extremely frugal neet lifestyle without ever buying anything expensive and living on ramen in a 1 room apartment.
