In my parents neighborhood the old people keep dying. Half the houses sit for years after the death, a empty home. The other half either get sold right away of the kids move in for free.

Seems like a lot of supply increasing in real estate. Also the NIMBY old people die out the new people don't show up to city meetings to restrict zoning, they dont care....

I'm based in the Netherlands, and my father only left my mom with a car, which i helped her sell for a smaller cheaper car.

The house is worth 300k, there is still 90k left to pay, the ownership is in my mother's name, and my father's will(or testament how we call it here) is written in a way that my mom can continue living in the house, and then from my father's half 33% goes to me and 66% to the children from my father's first marriage (which he didn't have a good relationship with but he couldn't remove them from the inheritance due to dutch law, they weren't even invited to the funeral)

My mom works but only makes +/- 1200 euro's a month and her costs of living are +/- 600 euro's.

The situation is real messy. Big debt, low income, 2 children from first marriage that will have to be paid off if i want to inherit the house.
