is the distinction between wealthy and rich really a thing? it seems weird to me as an ESL. language doesn't have to be so rigid, they can surely be synonyms as well. in my native language it's probably the opposite, a "piece of wealth" could be a few hundred k to a few million depending on the context. as a millionaire you're financially independent, you've made it. "rich" is more elite, like tens of millions and above, nobody would call themselves rich besides kings and billionaires and such. the bottom comment in pic related seems to contradict it, or is it the "filthy" rich that means wealthy, like next level mindblowingly rich.
