>1 full oz of gold, plus other stuff.
The other stuff is just copper. Yes you are right they have 1toz gold. They actually weigh a little more then an oz because of the added copper. The alloy makes them hard and durable. They where made for stacking and knocking around as tender. Not for looking shiny in a display case.

They are everywhere because they where the 1st mass produced 1oz coin. In 1980 90% of the gold coins where Krugs.

>What else should we buy Canadian leaf or Kangoroos from Australia,
No one wants those because they have the rat queen on them. Thats why people are still buying krugs today.

The gold ones have been made for decades and are universally known through out the world. They are 1oz of gold plus a little copper to make them hard. They are like this because they where meant to be knocked around and used a currency. When ever i see a 70s or 80s Krug I imagine it being used in some drug deal in miami or gun running in some 3rd world hellhole.

The silver ones only started in 2017. The 2017-19s i think are getting a premium from collectors trying to complete a set is my guess.

Anyone know of any decent LCS in CT/NYC/MA area? I want to start stacking 1oz gold coins but all these stories about USPS problems are not making me feel so good. If gold dips down any more I want to start making moves.

>New England
Know any good coin shops in southern new england or NYC?
The pawn shops near me all garbage or nothing at all when it comes to gold. I want to start stacking gold if it drops anymore.
