I just wonder why GOLD. I assume they don't "want" us to own silver in the same way they don't want us to exercise, eat a lot of meat or read antisemitic books- but something about Gold specifically feels different. I wish I could articulate my feelings better than saying "I feel like I'm on the edge of discovering something about Gold that'll make me want it so bad I stop buying silver" but I just don't know what.
Maybe silver is simply too big to control at a centralized level, while Platinum and Palladium are too small to manipulate others with? Could it really be that simple, that Gold exists in the perfect quantity to control with?
