How the fuck do people even make money in crypto? I know it happens because I constantly hear about it.

My wifes friends husband is in crypto and somehow he is making 2-3k a month. Her mother is a school teacher and one of her students is travelling the world while making money with crypto. I constantly see and hear of people that they are making money in crypto but no one wa ts to say how, like its some well guarded secret only for the initiated.

The best answer I got was a cryptic "Yea dude Im just doing what I can, just hustling here and there ya know, but I had to invest 1000$ upfront"

What did he invest in? How do they do that?
