SOXL is definitely a riskier play than simply holding SOX but given the low interest rates, the high demand for semis, and the fat premiums on calls, buying SOXL after the split on Monday and writing calls until the end of the year is far from the stupidest play I've seen shilled here... I personally own $100,000 worth of shares. Time will tell if this gambit pays off, but I know people who do this for a living and they think it's a reasonable move, if ballsy...
