I think you don't get the whole picture.

What are doctors for example? They are people you go to see when you are ill and want to get relief.

Te equivalent of doctors in the past (before the advent of evidence based medicine) where "healers", basically people who could not do jackshit but tell you approximately what you are dying from and provide you with some consolation and placebo (best case: painkillers), that's why the healer was often the "priest" figure too (the druid, the shaman, the monk, etc...) because he was here to prepare you to go to the "other world".
Call it empathy, psychological support, etc...

Initially modern doctors used to be that with the bonus that they could actually provide you with some working treatment, that's when the profession transitioned from semi-charlatans to problem solvers in short.

Today however it very much evolved, the 2019 doctor is a crazy better technician than he was 100 years ago, he can do a shitload for you...

But he doesn't have time to do the whole psychological thing because he has a pile of bureaucratic papers to do (otherwise he isn't covered or isn't paid by insurances/the state), he has dozens of other patients and finally the patient expect him to solve all his issues fast and efficiently, not to be nice and listen (medicine is not an "art" anymore or whatever these days, it's a service just like Netflix or food delivery).

As such the modern doctor is closer and closer to an automaton, the "human work" involved shrinks every decade and that's why it will be replaced by a machine ultimately, the culture is already setting it up.

When people will realize they can see the robot doctor today at any hour they are ill and get a treatment instead of having to wait 6 months for the human doctor to get the exact same pills and list of recommandations.

>So.... what's the answer? Is there a third option?
People will adapt to their environnement and pragmatically come with new things.

To give you some insight, politics used to be something practical with very little ideology in it before the french revolution, what dominated the mind of people in terms of beliefs was not politics, it was religion. Only since this era systems of governance became ideologies, before that society organized organically and what was important was living in accordance to christian teachings, not optimizing society based on material imperatives.
Since religion is in decline some people are compensating by adopting zealous/fanatical beliefs in politics, that's why leftists have such a cult like/emotional behaviour and deep ego investment.

The only thing you have to understand in our era about politics is that the average modern leftist is someone with low self esteem who internalized powerlessness and victimhood as an identity while leftist leader are narcissistic sociopaths thinking they are entitled to the ressources and respect of others. It's basically a mix of mentally ill people mixed with predatory personalities.

Take care of yourself and of your family, do what's in their best interests and yours, try to be better, that's the only sane and natural way of living your life, don't fall for ideological orthodoxy.
