I'm 23, no job, didn't go to college, but also don't have debt, I have a paid off car, and I live with my parents. However I have 40k from inheritance now, and I'm not sure what to do. I originally got it as 50k but at the time I was kinda on my way out of this world so I spent frivolously, but recently I've been turning my mental around and have decided to start working on my life. From here I'm not really sure what to do. My father keeps pressuring me to buy a house, or open a (most likely to doom) business since he doesn't want to work construction his whole life. Considering I was about to end it a bit ago, never really looked into my options, so looking for advice on what to do with the money.
