View every decision to purchase goods/services with the knowledge that your net worth will increase or decrease by said amount you spend or save. For example, I have 10k invested right now, I realize I spend $10k on alcohol every year (bars, buying alcohol, going out, etc)..... if someone asked me

>"Hey anon, if you could earn a 100% return on your investment portfolio guaranteed this year... would you sacrifice alcohol".

I would absolutely say yes, yet we're confronted with decisions like this all the time and make the wrong move. You can boost your personal Net Income so much by cutting out wasteful expenditures and adding it to your portfolio, this is a golden opportunity to generate consistent exorbitantly high returns when you're young and broke, by not being a dumbass.

Now, if you have $1,000,000 in the market, and you're earning $80k a year just on capital gains and dividends, maybe saving $10k a year on alcohol isn't a big of a deal, as it would represent a 1% return on your net worth.... but if you're young and broke..... STOP SPENDING ON STUPID SHIT.

Here are some obvious examples

>Netflix, Amazon prime, Disney+
>Not buying in bulk
>Vapes, cigarettes
>Junk food (most inefficiently priced food per calorie)
>Air conditioning (sweating is good for you, don't leave it on during the day, just let your body sweat)
>Furniture (I can promise you, investing $30 into cleaning supplies and cleaning your place will be far more effective than buying new decorations)
