I did lol, well kind of anyways
my efund is spread out across:
> brokerage (life emergencies) - no FDIC
> national-size bank (brokerage emergencies) - FDIC
> local bank (systematic emergencies, maybe the little guys will make it, mine are kind of fuckups sometimes though so honestly this is shaky but hey at least their tellers are nice) - FDIC

I can't really think of a good way to further reduce systematic risk aside unironic cash in the mattress but that's too far for me at the time being. I guess maybe two separate local banks but dealing with one is enough of a PITA.

you know, the thing that gets me at this point isn't even that they did it necessarily (though fuck them for that too), it's that they NEVER admitted it and until recently all in our gov were too spineless to call them out on it. In a better timeline, we would have bombed all the Sauds' palaces to ashes instead of droning civilians for years in various godforsaken deserts and trying to instill puppet regimes in countries that have never had a democratic gov.
