Here is his CS obligation.

28k is nothing to scoff at buddy. That's a brand new car, 2022, paid in full.
Most Americans don't even have half of this in their savings.

Honestly? Probably 30%, given that this is an issue that is at fault with the courts and the program.
The thing is, since they cannot refund the money back, we will have to "settle" for whatever they're willing to compensate us with... assuming we have that option.
And no, I work with clients that are females too.
As per red flags, the very first thing I notice with those who are considered the custodial parent is that they mainly bring the case to the attention of the courts due to money issues.
For example, "the support obligation is too low" or my favorite, "I want an upwards modification on the order because expenses for the child has increased".
Majority of the time, the CP is not even working and living off the cash that the NCP (noncustodial parent) is providing (crazy right?).
Essentially, as a divorcee, you'll have to provide for yourself AND for your ex-wife (assuming you have children or are orsered to pay spousal support).
And don't get me on court fees. Almost 99% of the time, the man will be obligated to pay for his fees, as well as the ex-wife.
We're talking thousands of dollars here.
