My name is not important.
There isn't much time left.
I'm a member of iExec RLC's dev team.
I may be terminated but I don't care, this message is important and needs to be heard.
It's Gilles.
He's been acting... crazy lately.
Gilles is a pretty good guy. Funny, smart, courageous, good leader. I started working for iExec in December of 2018. I was so excited and honored to contribute to such an amazing project. If only I had known what was to come...
Late 2019, Gilles had started staying up for days working on the project.
He spent countless hours in the lab, hours stretching into days, stretching into weeks.
Our team noticed Gilles was becoming increasingly manic, and tried to talk to him.
The white of his eyes were yellowing, his teeth dirty from weeks without brushing. His hair was long and unruly, plastered to his forehead with sweat. He reeked of urine.
"Gilles, please come with us. We need to get you help.", I said.
"I need to initialize the liquidity vector for the dynamic work pools!", Gilles exclaimed.
He started speaking in tongues, he was frothing at the mouth.
I noticed wires running down Gilles arm.
“What th-“
*WHOOOOOOSH*
Gilles shoved me into our team, and sprinted out of the lab. We tried to chase him but couldn’t keep up.
“SCREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!”
Gilles let out a sharp screech.
The blast doors closed, and we were locked inside the lab.
