It was interesting reading his AMA on Reddit. He was doing his course and actually sat in on subjects he wasn't enrolled for and did those as well, including the exams. Gates was one smart dude, then he dropped out because he saw and even better opportunity and took it.

It's nuts these people are so deluded they think rich people get rich because they were in the right place at the right time. Yeah there was a bit of that involved but it took a VERY intelligent guy and for him to recognize the opportunity to make it happen, oh yeah and an insane work ethic. It just makes me confused how these people are so deluded they think they could've been Bill Gates if they were around back then.
