Uh, it’s literally quantitatively correct. If chainlinks dream is picking up cross chain oracle volume from swift, the current numbers for Swifts revenue suggest that the token, if used as a utility token, has a value below 10 cents, likely below 1 cent more realistically

No actually you’re likely not, sorry. This is the half a billion, that’s 500 million USD, in revenue swift brought in last year I’ve put on this picture here. Chainlinks current plan is to use an expensive decentralized oracle network to serve the rather niche on-chain cross border crypto transactions swift is hoping to bring online. Now, assuming current crypto adoption rates, that means Link is targeting approximately anywhere from 1-3% of this number, that’s in the long run mind you. Short run we will see hilariously low numbers of adoption for this system, as it will be costly compared to the already lightning fast swift system, and will mainly serve financial entities already dealing with CBDC’s or cryptocurrencies, which is even smaller. Oh, and don’t forget that they promised decentralized oracles, but will have to deliver centralized oracles as it’s just too cost prohibitive to run a DON for this task as there’s no need for one since the chain will be mutable.

All in all, you’re looking at chainlink making their first million in revenue in 5-7 years, maybe longer depending on adoption times. Go chainlink! What’s the current marketcap?

Did you know 1 billion dollars in total revenue doesn’t even qualify a company as small cap in most cases?
