Absolutely, I'm not denying that we've been pursuing an inflationary monetary policy and a pseudo-monetisation of government debt. However, my point is that I'm not sure how a potential fiat collapse would play out here and what the Riksbank will do in response. Our governor has admitted several times that he considers gold to be the "only kind of money that is not a liability" (literal quote), which is in stark contrast to how Bernanke considers gold to be an "historical oddity".

Perhaps we would be among the first countries in the world to switch over to a gold standard? I'd assume the Netherlands and Germany would join us in a potential gold-backed monetary concordat.
