Speaking of numisfaggotry, those 2 coins arrived by the mail earlier this week.
Quite dirty to say the least. I gave them a very light baking soda aluminum bath, but it didn't do anything it seems, probably due to the dirt.

For the little story, this coin is quite significant historically, because it was the first french coin to use the decimal system (100 cents = 1 franc). Before it was like 12 deniers for one sol, 14 sols for one livre, 3 livres for one écu, etc.. a complete mess.
