It used to be that if you have 100RLC then you can compute something that's worth 33.33RLC, so 1/3 of the staked amount. This will make it so that people will need to buy RLC in order to even be able to join. ANYONE can join, doesn't matter if it's a home PC or if you have an array of computers. The minimum requirements are not big at all. If your computer is idling most of the day this is PERFECT, you just need a bit of RLC...

This can change, it used to be like this in the beta versions of the worker pools a few years back. But the fact that you'll need RLC in order to be able to join is true.
