I bought in very close to the peak in 2017/2018 and felt like a fucking dumbass when everything crashed. I held on for years, refusing to lose money and hoping it would go back up eventually.

I sold Ripple about a week before the SEC thing. Not because I know what I'm doing. Purely based on fear. Then a few days ago right before BTC hit 40k i sold all my BTC, LTC, and ETH. It wasn't much, but I got all my money back that I'd put in back in the day, plus a little extra. It might be way back up tomorrow with the way things have gone recently (huge swings), but in this moment I am euphoric.

Maybe to some degree. There's definitely a more rapid lifecycle for return of capital than most other sources of oil.
