New Investor here, Little confused by all the terms.
I'm scared of losing everything, logic vs what 4chan biz & reddit says.

So I was unlucky, I couldn't buy GME early, because being in Canada it takes 3 - 5 days to get money into any stock account.
I purchased $1000 worth of GME at roughly $52 per Share a few days ago.

Ever since then I've had ' Stock Experts , friends and family ', tell me I'm a fucking idiot, that there's no squeeze left and that I have to learn by losing money since I won't listen to them.

I watched GME dip today to now below what I paid, which is concerning, I was under the impression something like 70% of the people who borrowed against this stock still have to pay it back and that's where we were going to make our money back.

However I kept getting told, likea broken record, there is no squeeze, its done, move on ect ect.
I'm curious, what's the login in holding the stock at this point? What realistically can and will probably happen with this stock?

Can Melvin & the other hedgefunds get out of paying back the stock? Is it likely to hit $100, $300 or even $500 again in the short short term, Or is this just something that was shits and giggles for the week and now will slowly deplete till its dead?

I just have no idea what the rules are in regards to seeing the stock rise and actually making a profit of an otherwise dead company.

why would you actually buy after $100. Literally idiots.
