His commit access was removed immediately.

There was an accusation that he got hacked, and that's why they removed his access. (if this was truly the reason, it would have later been reinstated). Gavin also said he never got hacked.

There was another accusation saying that since Gavin had previously said "Satoshi is always welcome back to the project", it meant that his belief that CSW was satoshi was a threat to Core as it stood.

He got smeared and tarnished by pretty much everyone, and he slowly retreated away.


Sad story. Gavin was a god guy, but didn't have as big balls as Craig to face the shit flingers head on

HE RETRACTED THE STATEMENT
To the people who say Gavin later retracted his statement, he did NOT. This is what he said:

He regretted it because of the harassment and bullying and attacks on him after he confirmed that Craig had proven to him he is Satoshi. He was deeply hurt by all these attacks, but I think he was more hurt because Craig left him for the wolf. And if you think about it, it is the second time Craig leave him alone to be eaten alive. The first time was when Craig (as Satoshi) abruptly left him to lead the Bitcoin project.

Why is Gavin in on the faketoshi scam? Have they got something on him? He seems like a good guy so it's unlikely he's been bribed. More likely he did a mistake in his past, and they threaten to publish it if he don't play along. The whole thing makes me so sad as he is such a likeable and gentle person. Thougts?
