I think this protocol has massive potential, the addressable market for ICP is web2. I also think that blockchains can or should do a lot more than just simple balance transfers. I think tokenization through erc-20 is nothing special. Every chain, FTM, TRX, AVAX, is bridging, leveraging liquidity from the Ethereum market through an Ethereum compatible bridge. ICP is issuing their own token standard. Two possible scenarios for the future it will either absorb erc-20 through integration or it might even replace erc-20. The way I see it, ETH2 gas fees won't change after the merge and ICP can run ETH2 through direct integration. This might take a few years, but hey, if we actually get there.
