The US government had a really condescending tone when they took silver out of our money, don't you think.

Interesting to see what the narratives at the time were when they removed Silver from the money.

Here's an interesting set of coins made by the government (I think) at about the time they switched from Silver to clad coinage. It's always interesting seeing what people at the time thought of these changeovers.
