If you are trying to purchase BASE tokens you need to do the following:

--Add the BASE network to MetaMask or use Rabby wallet which already has it added (Rabby is superior in everyway)

--If you connect MM to Synapse Protocol which is the bridge of choice I've used for years without issue and try to switch to the BASE network it should prompt you and ask if you'd like to add it so you don't need to add the network info manually.

--Once you have the network added you will then need to purchase ETH on a centralized exchange and send it to your BASE ethereum address using it as the receiving address. Be sure you are sending to BASE network
