Let's take a moment to be reasonable here. The presale cap was set to $16M and since then ETH has gone up ~30%. That puts it at $21M. It's likely the extra $8M ($6M before the +30%) is from people going over the limit of their presale link.

This extra has not been refunded yet, so it was likely part of the $29M number. This would mean $11M for the crowdsale, not $3M.

TLDR; Exhibit a bit of self control and give the devs a day to tally everything up and make an official, final statement.
