This summer will be the summer retail investors and normies who just want to cash in on their zany equity gains (because they saw that everyone else has been doing so for the past 2 years and FOMO is a hell of a drug) are going to run for the exit at the same time. Institutional investors and landlords like Blackstone and Tricon Residential (a fucking leaf company that had bought up everything in my part of Florida) have begun consolidating and sizing down and have been flooding the market with supply for the better part of a year now. This market crash isn't going to be retail driven like it was in 2008, it will be large institutions dumping the bags they accumulated over the last 10 years on everyone. The short supply people have been wondering about is suddenly going to get filled and diluted and ruin any small time speculator who got greedy and thought they could flip houses ad infinitum and the countless HELOCd and 2nd mortgaged boomers who are financing their lifestyle with debt
