Did you mix up increase with decrease? There would be more orphans if we decreases the block time.
The only advantage would be fewer blocks and less storage space required, seems abundantly useful if we expect to do most useful things on L2. Now don't get me wrong L2 is inherently more centralized, but if this is where things are heading into then at least build L2s on chainweb as opposed to ETH.
The disadvantage would be less speed on L1 and probably require more chains to keep throughput the same.

I think you're just wrong dr Freud, I've met amazing people that I like hanging out with online and now want the same for my real life environment. It has nothing to do with wanting clones or any other fantasy reason you came up with to make my simple point sound like a negative.
Finding a clone is probably harder because most people are not one dimensional, at least from my experience.
