How do you become famous, or at least financially successful in the music business?
I've learned artistic quality means close to nothing: there are paid reviews, almost every post about you is a copy/paste of your press release, etc. And people still think they know "artists" because they are the best and by being so, they achieved success.
Is the music industry just a corrupted mafia? Imagine you have produced a professionally recorded/mixed/mastered album. Now you want exposition, what would you do exactly?
I feel like if you want media to cover your music you need some kind of hidden to the masses access, but does that mean connections?

Any producer/composer/band member on biz?

What about the biz bros who aren't having a good time? With covid, debts will be sky rocketing, unemployment is hitting new highs and the big sad can get to anyone.

How about some advice for these biz bros? Share any experiences you have with debt, hardships etc.

I'll start, got myself into some trouble a few years ago through gambling, about £1200 in credit card debt and sitting in a £2000 overdraft struggling to get out. I made some life changes and started picking at it bit by bit (credit card first due to the extortionate interest rate) and I'm glad to see I'm nearly there. Managed to build a stock portfolio at the same time and make some good gains.

If you speak to your phone/electric/gas provider, explain your financial circumstances some will allow you a 1-3 month payment holiday to get your head back above water.

It will get better. You just have to be patient.

Crypto might actually be over. This whole space is getting to a point where its just people gambling on random marketing schemes in the hope to dump their bags on someone else. The blockchain alternatives such as DAG which are unproven are just getting hype from people who theoretically think that it can do better as Blockchain, whilst Blockchain is still the best thing this space has to offer. Everything mooned 1000x or more and people are bagholding -90% coins. Even if the price went slightly up there'd be so much selling pressure from investors that have lost their shirts.

People don't care to discuss anything with eachother out of selfishness, not realizing that to have a thriving market you need to spread info and allow people to participate in speculating. Everything is closed doors, discord PnD, don't tell Reddit-tier shit. Bitcoin has gone so high that in order to think that there's a future for it you have to expect that the people who bought low are willing to hold for the slight chance that BTC will become a world reserve currency and not dump their 1000%,10,000%-%100,000% gains on you. Adoption is being deliberatly sabotaged from the inside. Instead of looking for fundamental value people are stuck in January-tier chicken-without-a-head type of investing. Good projects don't find footing because some Chink is marketing the shit out of their database and even though everyone knows its a scam they keep throwing their money at it. The result is exit-scam after exit-scam which makes newbs unconfident to invest in crypto. This space is collapsing under its own weight.
